If you’re looking for unique things to do in Disney Springs, you may be considering seeing the Cirque du Soleil Drawn to Life show. I’ve been to Cirque du Soleil in Disney Springs twice, once for La Nouba and the second time for Drawn to Life. Both shows were at the same theater, and I loved each one.

When we went to see the Drawn to Life Cirque du Soleil, it was Christmas Day. Assuming everyone would be at the Magic Kingdom or another Disney park, we didn’t plan ahead. We know Disney Springs well and are familiar with the location of the Drawn to Life theater, so we figured we wouldn’t have trouble arriving on time.

We. Were. Wrong.

Whether you’re going to the Disney Springs Cirque du Soleil on a holiday or a regular Disney for couples day, here’s what we learned the hard way so you can have an easier experience. We also have a couple of good-to-know tips that answer common Disney Cirque du Soleil FAQs to make your Disney for couples date night all the more enjoyable.

There’s No Bad Seat in the Drawn to Life Theater

At La Nouba, I sat toward the right side of the theater, about halfway up. For Cirque du Soleil Drawn to Life, Mike and I sat a little farther up and a little more to the right. Both seats were great — we could see everything without any obstructions.

The theater for Cirque du Soleil in Disney Springs is small enough that there really isn’t a bad seat. And even the seats toward the sides of the theater aren’t so severely off-center that you can’t see what’s happening on stage.

Plus, the seats are very tiered, so unless the person in front of you is wearing Mickey ears, your view won’t be obstructed by the crowd.

Also, the Drawn to Life Cirque du Soleil show has quite a bit projected onto large screens above the performers, so if you’re having trouble seeing what they’re doing, you can always look up at the screen for a better view.

Give Yourself Lots of Extra Travel Time

If you’re driving to Disney Springs, you won’t know which parking lot is available until you get there.

Usually, we park in the Orange lot, but on Christmas Day, when we went to see the Disney Cirque du Soleil show, the Orange lot — and all the other guest lots — were full. We had to park in a Cast Member lot, which was as far as you could get from the Drawn to Life theater.

Not a great start to a Disney for couples date night.

Add a crowded Disney Springs evening with slow-moving foot traffic, and we were late to the show. We arrived a few minutes after it started and were huffing and puffing while we found our seats.

If you’re taking a Disney bus to Disney Springs, you still won’t be super close to the Drawn to Life theater. The Disney bus drop-off is near Town Center in Disney Springs, and there’s a decent walk from there to Cirque du Soleil Drawn to Life.

Add a lot of extra time to your Disney date night plans. Factor in both travel and walking time.

If there are other Disney Springs things to do on your list, you can arrive plenty early, go shopping or have something to eat, and then head to the show. That way, you know you won’t be late regardless of the traffic or walking situation.

You Can Eat and Drink in the Drawn to Life Theater

Being able to eat and drink during Cirque du Soleil in Disney Springs makes the entire Disney date night much more fun. Even though Cirque du Soleil puts on high-level performances, there’s still a casual, child-like vibe to the show because you can munch on M&Ms or popcorn.

We brought water to the show and had no problem bringing it in, and there’s also a snack stand in the lobby of the theater where you can buy treats and drinks. There’s no intermission during Cirque du Soleil Drawn to Life, though, which is even more reason to arrive early and get what you need beforehand.

If you’re tackling a few things to do in Disney Springs before the show, stop by one of the shops that sells snacks and get a goodie to bring with you.

Cirque du Soleil in Disney Springs is 90 Minutes

The Disney Springs Cirque du Soleil show is 90 minutes long, and it goes fast. It’ll be over before you know it.

We love this length. It’s more than enough time to get your money’s worth, but it’s short enough to be part of a larger Disney for couples date night. There are so many things to do in Disney Springs that you can add the Cirque du Soleil show to an evening that includes dinner, dessert and shopping.
