Are you wondering, “How much is a refillable cup at Disney World?” as you plan your spending for your upcoming couples vacation? Read on to find out everything you need to know!
Disney World has a lot to offer, but one of the best parts of going to The Most Magical Place on Earth is all of the yummy snacks, meals and drinks you get to have.
But aside from international dining in Epcot, unbeatable cocktails at Oga’s Cantina in Hollywood Studios, and the most delicious buttered popcorn (gluten-free and vegan!) you’ll ever have, a good portion of Disney eating is just, well…basic.
That’s where refillable mugs come in. You purchase and use these mugs at Disney resorts, and if you have at least 6 non-alcoholic drinks during your stay, you’ll pay yourself back.
Here’s everything you need to know about Disney World’s refillable mugs.

How Much is a Refillable Cup at Disney?

As of early 2025, refillable mugs at Disney World cost $22.99 each. Since a beverage station drink is approximately $4, you’ll pay yourself back for the refillable cup if you get at least 6 beverages throughout your stay. (Plus, you’ll have a cute souvenir to take home.)
Where Can I Buy and Use a Refillable Mug in Disney World?
Refillable mugs can be purchased at any quick-service location in a Disney resort, like the resort’s main cafeteria. You can buy a Disney refillable mug whether you’re staying at that resort — or any Disney resort — or not.
For example, if you’re staying at Coronado Springs but visiting BoardWalk for the day, you can buy the mug at BoardWalk and use it at any Disney resort, including Coronado Springs. You can also purchase the mug at Coronado Springs and take it along as you visit other Disney resorts, filling up wherever you go.
Here’s another option: You can buy a refillable mug even if you’re not staying on property at all. Sometimes, we like to resort-hop during a Disney for couples trip, even if we’re staying off-property. Buying a refillable mug and taking it along on a resort-visiting day can end up saving you a lot of money in the long run.
You cannot use a refillable mug in a Disney theme park or water park — they only work at the resorts.
What Can I Put In My Disney Refillable Mug?
The Disney refillable cups hold about 16 ounces of liquid. Here’s what you can fill it up with at a Disney resort beverage station:
- Coca-Cola products
- Coffee
- Tea
- Hot chocolate
Milk and orange juice aren’t included. Instead of getting those at a beverage station, they’re sold in individual containers.
P.S. Some of the resorts have a Coke Freestyle machine. 🤗
Can I Reuse My Disney Refillable Mug?
Your refillable Disney mug will have a chip in it that makes it work at drink stations. That chip is only active for 14 days from the day you buy it — after that, it won’t work any longer.
That means that if your Disney vacation is longer than 14 days or if you return in the future more than 2 weeks later, your refillable mug will no longer work.
Also worth noting is that the chip requires a lag time between fill-ups. That means you can’t fill up your mug with a drink, dump it out or into another cup, and then immediately fill it up again. You have to take a short break in between.
Wrapping Up: How to Get the Most Out of Your Refillable Disney Cup
Whenever you head to a Disney resort cafeteria, bring along your cup to fill it up. Start with coffee, tea or hot chocolate in the morning, then rinse it out and pour yourself a cold drink for the park.
Once the mug is empty again, you can use it at the free water stations in the Disney theme parks, but we suggest adding a flavor packet to mask the not-great taste of Florida water.
Keep in mind that the lids aren’t leak-proof, so you’ll want to keep it upright. When you’re done drinking from it for the day, dry it out and then stash it in your bag.
