Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a nice combination of quality dine-in restaurants and appealing quick-service options. We’ve eaten at most of them, and we still rate the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios as the best QS option in the park — and maybe all of Walt Disney World, honestly.
Why is the ABC Commissary the best quick service in Hollywood Studios? For a few reasons that are extra important when figuring out where to grab a bite to eat.
Bonus: We love the Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary whether we’re on a Disney for couples trip for two or we’re with a bigger group. It’s a crowd-pleaser either way.

The Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary Theme
According to the landing page for the Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary, the eatery’s style is Art Deco. The overall vibe is super subtle, and that’s why we like it. The general idea is that you’re at ABC Studios (owned by the Disney Company, of course) and you’re taking a break from your day job to grab lunch.
We love a good Disney theme as much as the next person, but the ABC Commissary is one of the only Disney Hollywood Studios quick service spots that’s open, bright and subdued enough to feel calming in an otherwise hot, humid and crowded park day.
Seating and Surroundings at the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios
Another Disney dining review of a quick service spot would go something like, “Seating is limited, the chairs are uncomfortable, and tables usually need a good wipe-down. Grab whatever you can find.” 😳
But at the Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary, there’s a ton of space, and we’ve never had an issue finding somewhere to sit. That’s true for our Disney for couples trips as well as our recent family trip when we were a party of six.
Also, many of the tables have a booth on one side, which makes for super comfy seating.
✅ Clean Tables
The tables are usually clean because the cast members make their rounds to clear them off — you’re not supposed to bus your own tables here.
✅ Cold AC
The AC’s always pumped up, and because this isn’t an open-air Disney Hollywood Studios quick service restaurant, that cold air gets trapped inside, making it an excellent place to cool down.
✅ Sane Noise Level
Something else we like about this quick service location is that it’s never too noisy. Since there are other Disney Hollywood Studios quick service places that are more themed and attractive to kids, the ABC Commissary stays on the calmer, not-as-loud side. It’s not library-level quiet, of course, but we don’t usually hear the shrieking and crying in the background that’s common at other QS spots.
✅ Powder Rooms
Oh, and one more thing: The ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios has its own restroom with multiple stalls. That’s not something you find at every single Disney eatery, and you’ll sometimes have to leave the QS or dine-in restaurant to find a restroom.
The Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary Menu
What’s the most important part of any Disney dining review, especially when we’re talking about the best quick service in Hollywood Studios? The food, of course.🍴
(Though AC comes in a close second because Florida heat is brutal. 🥵)
Insider Tip: It’s always best to mobile order your food ahead of time. You’ll avoid waiting on line, and you’ll get your food quicker than if you were to order at the counter.
💡 We usually decide before we head into an attraction that we’re going to eat afterward. When we leave the attraction or ride, we find a shaded area and place our order. Usually, we say we’re at the eatery and they can start preparing it — that way, by the time you walk over, it’ll be ready.
Food at the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios
For the most part, we’ve always liked the food at the Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary. This is one of the best quick service in Hollywood Studios options for healthier meals, and the serving sizes are the same as you’ll get elsewhere in the Disney Parks — which is to say they’re plenty big.
Standout choices include the Mediterranean salad with chicken, which comes with grilled flatbread, and the Chicken Club Sandwich, which is topped with bacon, provolone, avocado ranch, lettuce and tomato. You can get apple slices, an arugula-farro salad, or steak fries on the side.
The shrimp tacos can be hit or miss — I’ve had them and loved them, and Mike has ordered them and thought they were so-so.
Other food items at this Disney Hollywood Studios quick service spot include:
- Buffalo chicken grilled cheese (with 4 types of cheese!)
- Plant-based California burger with sriracha mustard and balsamic-glazed grilled peppers and onions
- Pork carnitas tacos with Mexican rice and black beans
There are also sides and dessert you can order, like the ones below.
Gluten-Free Options at the Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary
During our most recent Disney for couples trip, I was dealing with a brand new gluten allergy, so finding food I could eat and that tasted good was a challenge.
I ordered the allergy-friendly Chicken Club Sandwich and left off the ranch dressing and cheese (I also have a dairy sensitivity), and the meal was…fine.
It’s not totally the ABC Commissary’s fault, because the two toppings I had to forgo add a lot. Unfortunately, my biggest gripe was that the gluten-free bun was super dry.
That’s a common issue with GF bread, but of all the ones I had throughout Disney World, this was the worst (the one at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Magic Kingdom wasn’t great, either).
That said, the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios kept my food separate and put an allergy flag in it, which is true for any of the eateries I could do a Disney dining review for. I felt very safe ordering allergy-friendly foods here, and it was a much easier experience than I’d expected.
Drinks at the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios
The ABC Commissary has both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. That’s an important part of a Disney dining review for adults who like to get a grownups-only drink during their Disney for couples trip.
Why? Because some of the parks are more lax about drinking than others.
For example, the Magic Kingdom serves alcohol in its restaurants, but you can’t get a drink and walk around with it. Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and even Disney Springs let you get a drink to go and stroll around with it, though.
Alcoholic Beverages at the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios
Alcoholic beverages at the Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary include:
- Beer options
- Happy Daze cocktail (coconut rum, melon and banana liqueurs, grenadine, orange and pineapple juice)
- Red sangria
- Watermelon margarita
- Wine options
The beer and wine options are minimal, with a red wine, a white wine and two beers to choose from.
If you want more beer selections, head over to the BaseLine Tap House, just a couple of stops away from the ABC Commissary. There’s hard cider there, too.
Non-Alcoholic Beverages at the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios
The non-alcoholic options at the ABC Commissary include:
- Apple juice and orange juice
- Bottled water
- Coffee, tea and hot chocolate
- Chocolate milk and low-fat milk
- Fountain beverages
- Strawberry lemonade slushy (pictured below)
Seasonal Options and Specials at ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios
It wouldn’t be the best quick service in Hollywood Studios without seasonal options. These change throughout the year (obviously), and include selections like:
- Frozen salted caramel hot cocoa with cherry bourbon, mini marshmallows and chocolate sauce
- The same drink as above but without the alcohol
- Spiced bundt cake filled with apple pie, coated with cinnamon-sugar, and topped with maple buttercream and salted caramel icing
There also may be a special cup you can buy, like the Donald Christmas Tree Sipper or the BB-8 Stein, filled with your soda fountain selection.
On top of that, there are usually special menu items you can order for a limited time, like the mint chocolate chip cheesecake.

Where Is the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios?
The Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary is located next to the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant and behind the Vacation Fun movie theater.
Here are two ways to get to it:
- If the Chinese Theater is in front of you (the building that houses Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway), you’ll walk sort of behind it and to the left. The Hollywood Studios ABC Commissary will be on your right side.
- If you’re near the backlot area, which is also where the Muppets section and Star Tours are, you’ll walk past the BaseLine Tap House and the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant on your left. The ABC Commissary will be on your left down that narrow strip.
During the pandemic, you could only enter the ABC Commissary if you’d already placed a mobile order, but that rule’s been lifted. There’s usually a cast member at the entrance who will direct you (a) to the dining room if you’ve placed a mobile order or (b) to the counter where you can put your order in.
Disney Dining Review Final Thoughts About the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios
All in all, we really like the ABC Commissary and consider it the definite best quick service in Hollywood Studios, even compared to the smaller food stands that sell snacks and desserts.
When it comes to value for your money, pricing at the ABC Commissary is the same as you’ll find all over the Disney Parks, meaning it’s high. But since the food here is usually better than what you’d get in other places, it feels more worth it.
And when it comes to a Disney dining review, the food isn’t the only consideration. The setting, seating, AC and noise level are also important factors.
Your meals are some of the only times you get to sit down and chill out during a Disney for couples trip, and it’s always disappointing to end up at a quick-service spot that’s crowded, hot and doesn’t have any free tables.
When you consider all of that together, the ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios is one of our favorite quick-service locations in all of Disney World.
